QUESTION: Councillor S. Holland

"To ask the Chief Executive whether there is anything the Council can do about Cars For Sale using spots in our public car parks.  I checked Grange Road/ Nutgrove Avenue junction this morning and saw two scrappers holding spaces?"

REPLY:

Under Section 71 of the Roads Act 1993, it is an offence to place on a public road any vehicle or other thing used for the purpose of advertising.  

This area will be inspected and if necessary Notices issued to the offenders and appropriate follow up action taken.
