MOTION NO. 1

MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons

"That this committee calls for a funding request to be made to the new Minister for the Environment for a Homeless Hostel and staffing and that the area committee be made aware of suitable possible sites, we have agreed previous motions at this committee, there is an urgent need in the area."

REPORT:

The Committee has not agreed a site at this time.  As and when one is identified a joint approval and funding request to include the HSE - Department of Health will be forwarded to the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government will be made through the Dublin Region Homeless Executive.  Such a facility is dependent to funding approval of the HSE - Department of Health and the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government.
