MOTION: Councillor F. Timmons

"This committee calls for a  working group to be set up to look at what initiatives can be done for Halloween 2016 after last years successful events. This group should involve local safety forums and key council staff etc."

REPORT:

It is anticipated that arrangements will be put in place (in similar fashion to 2015) in order to consider a suitable programme for Halloween 2016 event management and enforcement issues.  

The committee / working group should ideally comprise of SDCC Elected Members, SDCC officals from relevant departments, and members of the relevant safety fora, and should be chaired by the Area Committee Chairperson.
