"That the Chief Executive ask the Public Realm Department to cut the grass verge on the right hand side of the Lucan Newlands road leading in to Glenvale estate and for this area to be put on a regular cutting program?" (overdue membersnet Item 1142383 refers)

REPORT:

The verge on the right hand side of the Lucan Newlands Road leading in to Glenvale estate is maintained by the Roads Section as part of the annual hedgerow and verge maintenance contract. The location of the verge necessitates the use of a tractor and flail to maintain it. The condition and narrow nature of the verge does not lend itself to be cut as part of a regular grass cutting programme.
