"As a follow up to my motion of October 2014 41075, that this committee requests the Manager with responsibility bring forward costed plans that can be considered in the context of the 2017 budget, for a facility in Waterstown Park that will provide a place where patrons, e.g. organised users, can meet to plan their activities, change their gear and avail of toilet facilities and if consideration also be given to included it as a facility/incorporating Palmerstown Boxing Club."

REPORT:

As previously reported under Motion 14 at the LAC meeting in October 2014, given the unique setting of the park in the Liffey Valley, its importance in terms of biodiversity and the absence of any formal organised recreational facilities which would require changing/toilet facilities, for example, football pitches, there are no plans or proposals to provide a facility for the occasional use by groups using Waterstown Park.
