QUESTION NO. 11
QUESTION: Councillor B. Ferron
"To ask the Chief Executive if a full report can be given to this Committee showing the layout of the new cycle track in Tallaght Village from the Glenview Roundabout to the Greenhills Road. Can the Chief Executive confirm if some of the grass verges along the road will be lost as a result of these works, specifically outside the houses at Glenview on the main road?"
REPLY:
As part of the scheme, a portion of verge on the North side of the Main Road at Glenview will be lost, with any trees removed being replaced on the remaining verge between the footpath and the wall. Where new footpaths are being provided, in particular at the rear of Glenview Park, a section of verge was removed, but the majority of trees were retained. In general, very little verge has been lost over the lenght of the scheme between Greenhills Road and Glenview Roundabout. Maps of the new layout are attached.
