MOTION NO. 13

MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"That this Area Committee agrees that the 2016 road maintenance works programme should include a provision for the plastering of boundary walls at Foxborough between the Foxborough Road roundabout and Grangecastle road junction; noting that when preparing an unsuccessful application for the Community Initiative scheme, Foxborough Maintenance Association had sought quotes for plastering of these boundary walls with quotes receiving ranging from €23,000 to €57,000." 

REPORT:

It is not considered appropriate to spend money on plastering the boundary walls. The Road and Footpath programme is to be used for repairs to both roads and footpaths.
