QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the Chief Executive if he will confirm the current position regarding proposals for the sale of Council lands at Kingswood Castle for housing purposes and will he also detail plans for consultations with the local community and also confirm the schedule being followed in the matter?"

REPLY:

Negotiations to agree final terms and conditions for completion of the sale of plot of land at Kingswood Castle for housing purposes in accordance with the disposal resolution as approved by the elected members at meeting of 12/10/15 are ongoing with the identified preferred bidder in consultation with the Council Valuer. All development proposals for the land will be subject to requirements of the Planning & Development Act 2000.
