MOTION: Councillor M. Devine

"That this council engage with the private waste collection companies to progress our suggestion of attaching a simple clip to green bins that will prevent spillage of its contents- significant savings in the councils time and resources are envisaged".

REPORT:

The Chief Executive notes the content of the motion. It is considered that the operations of private waste collection companies and innovation in relation to clips to prevent spillage is not an issue for inclusion in the County Development Plan. Recommended that the motion is not adopted as the issue is not relevant to be included in the Development Plan.

Recommendation

It is recommended that this motion is not adopted.
