GREEN ROUTE - BUS

MOTION: Cllr. Cáit Keane

"That this Committee recommends that we investigate the feasibility of running a bus along the Green Route – if necessary by private licence of this Council from the Luas in Tallaght to the Luas in Sandyford, as the residents of this area of Rathfarnham are very badly served by public transport."

REPORT:

The issues raised in this motion will be brought to the attention of Dublin Bus in the first instance, with a request that they be favourably considered in the context of the citywide route review currently nearing completion. The need for local, orbital and feeder bus routes of this nature to meet the needs of our customers has been emphasised by the Council in  ongoing discussions with Dublin Bus, CIE and the Department of Transport.
