Greenways

To amend Maps 1 & 2 and Table 6.4 to add a further Minor Greenway from Willsbrook Road, through Willsbrook Park, along Esker Lane and Lucan Road as far as the schools in the Chapel Hill/Lucan Village area – with a view to providing safe, dedicated walking and cycling routes to promote sustainable transport to schools.

REPORT:

The proposed route has been identified in the preparation of the Lucan Area Access Study to provide access between Lucan Educate Together National School and Coláiste Phádraig CBS School. The route will also form part of the broader Lucan Area network, linking to Griffeen Valley Greenway.   

Recommendation

It is recommended that this motion is adopted.
