QUESTION: Councillor D. O'Brien

"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the upgrade of the playground in Griffeen park and the new playground in Waterstown park. And for the time scale on when they will both be complete?"

REPLY:

Provision has been made in the 2016 – 2018 3 Year Capital Programme for a Regional Parks Playground Refurbishment Programme and Griffeen Valley in the Lucan Electoral Area and Tymon Park in the Tallaght Central Electoral areas are included in this. Design work has already commenced on these projects and it is the intention of the Council to advertise both for tender shortly.

There is no provision for a playground for Waterstown Park in the current Capital Programme.
