QUESTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin

"To ask the Chief Executive to provide a report on the water course that runs between houses in Castle Close & Castle View Road; to detail the reasons why this water course floods into the back gardens of houses at this location; to detail what steps have been taken by the Council to date to address this problem; and to detail what further measures can be taken to address this problem in the future?"

REPLY:

We are investigating our records to determine the history of this problem. In the meantime, SDCC Drainage Operations propose to carry out a camera survey on the surface water sewers in the area to investigate if they operating as designed and to find the locations of the connections to the properties concerned.
