MEETING OF LUCAN AREA COMMITTEE
Wednesday, December 16, 2015
MOTION NO. 17
MOTION: Councillor W. Lavelle
"That this Area Committee: Noting the concerns expressed and actions agreed at the November meeting of the Land-Use Planning & Transportation SPC in relation to the reduced speed limit on the Chapelizod Bypass in the Dublin City Council area, expresses its concerns about the lack of notice and reasoning being provided to elected members of neighbouring councils and more generally to residents of Lucan and Palmerstown (and other road users) of both the reduced speed limit and future planned road layout changes on the Chapelizod Bypass, requests the Chief Executive to outline any consultations or communications held at official level between Dublin City Council, the National Transport Authority and this Council on the changes and proposals for the Chapelizod Bypass and invites officials from Dublin City Council to provide a briefing to this Committee on the changes and proposals for the Chapelizod Bypass."
REPORT:
In September 2015 correspondence relating to technical issues was exchanged at offical level. Roads Deptpartment is not aware of any other consulations nor would it be a party to issues arising solely in Dublin City.
