QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the Chief Executive to present a report on what was announced as a Playspace proposed for the green area between Ambervale and Birchwood/Lanndale Lawns and will he particularly report on the Public Meeting held in County Hall on 30th November 2015 to discuss the matter?"

REPLY:

A facilitated meeting was held on the 30^th November 2015 with the residents from the wider Ambervale area to discuss the proposed Play Space which was included in the 2014 - 2018 Five Year Play Space Programme. Prior to this meeting over 1,800 residents were circulated by leaflet drop with the notice of the public meeting and which was held in County Hall. Approximately 20 residents attended the meeting.

The outcome of the meeting was that it will not be possible to construct a play space in the area at this time.
