"To ask the Chief Executive to present an update on plans for the further development of the Mobile Library Service throughout Tallaght?"

REPLY:

The Mobile Library continues to deliver an excellent service in the Tallaght area, by visiting schools and crèches monthly and public stops on a weekly basis. The Mobile Library staff also deliver boxes of books to crèches and nursing homes monthly.

We are delighted to say we will have a new Mobile Library on the road in early 2016 and this will replace our oldest vehicle which is now 20 years old. The old Mobile Library will be auctioned off in accordance with South Dublin County Council policy.
