QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

"To ask the Chief Executive if he plans to establish a Council Apprenticeship Scheme in the Tallaght area and to outline the functions which would be involved in such a Scheme?"

REPLY:

The Council are developing an Apprenticeship Scheme in partnership with Solas, the national training body, and consideration is being given for it running across the following crafts: painter, plumber, fitter/mechanic, carpenter and bricklayer, for commencement in 2016.
