MOTION: Councillor E. O'Brien

"To ask the Chief Executive to agree to suspend all parking charges in Lucan village for the month of December in an effort to encourage increased footfall in Lucan village during the Christmas period?"

REPORT:

It is not proposed to suspend the parking charges in Lucan as requested. This measure would be unfair in relation to the remainder of the county. In addition ther are contracts in place which cannot be suspended (Parking Enforcement, Cash Collection).
