QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on flood alleviation, attenuation and other works on the River Poddle, and to make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

South Dublin County Council is the lead authority on this scheme which is funded by the OPW.  

Tender Documents for appointment of a consultant for the Poddle Flood Alleviation Scheme are being finalised by DCC and it is planned to invite tenders from consultants that are on DCC’s framework agreement in the near future. 

The appointed consultant will develop the options further and prepare tender documents for the appointment a contractor to construct the recommended works.
