MOTION NO. 4

MOTION: Councillor P. Foley

"The Council currently has two proposed usages for the one piece of land, beside the Convent on Firhouse Road. There is a part 8 which shows a running track in place and a Development plan, long term goal which shows a road and bridge across the Dodder.

Can the council confirm that the running track is the preferred option for this land going forward? If it is I recommend this AC request the removal of the long term goal of the bridge and roaad from the development plan."

REPORT:

The proposed long term road link contained in the Draft County Development Plan is indicative only.  Should the Part 8 for the proposed running track be adopted the indicative road link can be adjusted accordingly.  The inclusion or otherwise of the road link in the County Development Plan will be considered at the next stage of the Development Plan process which is the consideration of the Chief Executives Report on the Draft Plan Public Consultation Process.  This is planned to take place in February / March 2016.
