QUESTION NO.4
QUESTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin
"To ask the Chief Executive for a report on the state of the communal bin areas in Meile an Ri including what enforcement action the Council is taking against those tenants who are not disposing of their rubbish appropriately."
REPLY:
Allocation Support Officers are currently carrying out investigations to identify tenants not disposing of their rubbish in an appropriate manner. Inspections of all bin areas has also taken place.
Notices are currently being drafted to issue to tenants within the next coming weeks informing tenants of their obligation to dispose of their rubbish in an appropriate manner and informing them that Council Officals will be calling to them seeking proof of same, (ie. receipts/statements and proof of sign up with licensed contractor). Where this information is not provided Tenancy Warnings under the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 will be considered.
