MOTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin

"This committee agrees that the Council includes the land beside no 13 Moorefield Lawns on the regular grass cutting schedule and as a long term solution to the problems on this land examines the possibility of tramacking the land or using it for additional car-parking."

REPORT:

The area referred to is not currently included in the Public Realm Maintenance Schedule. Access to the area is restricted due the presence of a large ESB kiosk, a public lighting column and the presence of car parking bays directly in front of it. The area does not lend itself to routine maintenance by Public Realm grass cutting machinery due to the size and shape of the space. The area has been recently cut while the future use of the land is considered. The Housing and Roads Departments are best placed to address the future use of this piece of ground.
