Boundary wall at Swiftbrook, Tallaght

REPLY:

This work arises from the vandalism and other damage to the boundary wall and railing at Swiftbrook. A number of sections have been demolished and this has resulted in fears from the residents of the estate for the safety of children, in particular, since the boundary is close to the Fortunestown Way road.

It is proposed to repair the damaged sections with a new wall and railing, to add restricted pedestrian entrances (e.g., kissing gate or K Barrier) at two locations and to plant a new hedge on the inside of the boundary. Agreement was reached with resident representatives on this proposed work.

The tender for this will issue shortly.

The proposed plans and a location map is attached to this report for clarity.
