MOTION: Councillor C. O'Connor

That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to give assurances that there will be no further delays in progressing tenders for the proposed Playground at Tymon Park Tallaght and will he provide details of the schedule now to be followed and information as to what is to be provided. 

REPORT:

The design for the replacement playground in Tymon Park is currently being progressed. The design will take into account the size of the park it will be situated in and the large population that it will serve. It will utilise a combination of the existing topography and other natural features of the site and will included also constructed play equipment to provide a play experience for a wide range of children’s age groups.

It is intended to present for information purposes the draft design to the Elected Members at the November 2015 Area Committee meeting and to advertise it for tender shortly after and as soon as the final design and documentation has been prepared.
