QUESTION NO. 8
QUESTION: Councillor C. O'Connor
"To ask the Chief Executive if he will confirm that efforts are being made to restore the Charlie O'Toole Memorial Name Stone on the bridge across the Tallaght By-Pass at St Dominics noting previous commitments that the Name Stone, which originally marked the first bridge which was opened in 1979 would be restored at the new bridge."
REPLY:
The matter has been investigated and we have been unsuccessful in locating the original Charlie O'Toole Memorial Name Stone. If the Member or any local residents has any information on the original stone, namely the nature, size, inscription etc, this can be forwarded to Roads Department staff who will put in place arrangements for its replacement.
