Cathaoirleach’s Business

"That the Chief Executive bring a report to this LAC on possible locations within the Lucan/Palmerstown area for the possible siting of prefabs to cater for homeless people and the time factor in getting them up and functioning."

REPORT:

Housing Department is currently examining our land bank to see what sites may be suitable for modular homes as exhibited recently by the Dublin Regional Homeless Executive.  The question of costs and future use of the modular homes as well as the future use of any sites identified will form part of the examination.

It is not possible to estimate as yet the timeframe for the provision of modular houses as it will be dependent in the main on provision of services to the sites, planning and procurement.
