QUESTION: Councillor B. Ferron

"To ask the Chief Executive if grass cutting can please be scheduled on both sides of the Partas Centre at Bolbrook and also along the Whitestown stream from the Seskinview Road end to the railings? This area has become totally overgrown and while I understand that some of these meadows are to create bio-diversity within the county, this overgrowth has totally covered over the stream."

"Also, to ask the Chief Executive if the Bolbrook bridge can be scheduled for painting and repairs in this area too. The bars on the bridge have become rusted and are taking away from the general appearance of the area."

REPLY:

The grass cutting requested at Bolbrook and along the Whitestown Stream will be scheduled to take place over the coming two weeks. The Public Realm Section does not have access to painting staff who could paint the railings at Bolbrook Bridge. Quotations will be sought from a number of painting contractors for this work and this proposal will be added to the provisional list of improvement works schemes which are under consideration for 2016.
