"In light of the ongoing anti social behaviour in the Harelawn estate can the Chief Executive provide a report on the number of reported incidents of anti social behaviour since January of this year and to detail what action is being taken by the Council to resolve these problems?"
REPLY:
The Council's Housing Estate Management Team are working closely with members of the Garda Siochana in respect of anti-social behaviour by underage gangs in the Harelawn area of Clondalkin. In liaison with the Gardai,Tenancy Warnings have issued to seven families within Harelawn Estate following on interviews convened by the Housing Estate Management Team. A further three tenancy warnings are currently being issued to families whose household members are involved in anti-social behaviour.
The Council is continuing to liaise with the Garda Siochana in respect of the ongoing anti-social behaviour in the area and further action under the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions), Act 2014 may be taken. Under Section 7(1) of the Act the Council is required to include specified terms, (name of household member involved in anti social behaviour, date, time and specifics of the anti social behaviour). This level of detailed information is not always available to the Council.
