QUESTION: Councillor L. Dunne

"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the closure of Mill Lane, Saggart, as there are a number of residents objecting".

REPLY:

At the full meeting of Council in July, it was agreed that the closure of Mill Lane would be trialled on a temporary basis for eight weeks to evaluate impact on traffic in Saggart village before Part VIII approval would be noted by the Council members. Since then one resident has contacted the Council in relation to this. Public notification of the trial period will issue shortly and the temporary works will commence. At the end of the eight week period submissions in relation to the trial will be compiled and a report presented to the members for decision on the Part VIII.
