QUESTION NO. 10

QUESTION: Councillor B. Bonner

"To ask the Chief Executive what is the current situation with regard to the planning permission for the housing developments at the top of St John's Road, Clondalkn?

Is it true that one of the conditions attached to the granting of permission was that the old commons road at this location was to be reopened onto the fonthill road?  This would be of concern to the residents here, who are happy for houses to be built but do not wish for the access to the main road to be re opened."

REPLY:

It is assumed that Planning Register Reference SD14A/0278 is the one referred to in the question the proposal being:

Residential development comprising 10 dwellings. The proposed development is comprised of 3 Type A, 2 bed two storey semi-detached houses with attic conversions; 1 Type B, 3 bed two storey semi-detached house with attic conversion; 4 Type C, 3 bed two storey end terrace houses with attic conversions; 2 Type D, 2 bed two storey mid terrace houses with attic conversions; proposed new vehicular access road from St. Johns Road (passing over lands owned by South Dublin County Council); connections to all services and all ancillary site development works.

This application was declared withdrawn on 24th August 2015.
