QUESTION NO 12.

QUESTION: Councillor B. Ferron

"To ask the Chief Executive if he can please have the windows and doors inspected at 27 Avonbeg Drive. They are in an extreme state of repair and the tenant is unable to close them properly which is causing heating and security issues."  

REPLY:

The windows and doors at this address were examined by the Architects Department in 2013 and graded 5, being in poor condition and in need of replacement.

They were therefore put on the Windows and Doors Replacement Programme list.

It should be noted that windows and Doors graded in 2011 and early 2012 are only now being replaced.

The Councils contractor has been requested to investigate to see if any upgrading works can be carried out untill the doors and windows are replaced.
