QUESTION NO 11.

QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"To ask the Chief Executive to make a report regarding the Warmer Homes works carried out on Social Housing in the Tymon, Aongus and Tymonville Estates and indicate if there any homes which have yet to have the works carried out and could he indicate a reasonable timeframe for completion of such works?"

REPLY:

The current energy programme - Energy Retrofitting commenced in 2013.  The works involved in this programme included

• Attic and cavity wall insulation
• Ventilation
• Draught proofing
• CFL bults
• Lagging Jackets and
• Energy advice

The eligible criteria for the scheme is

• Rented Local Authority houses
• Contructed before 2002 and
• Tenant is either on Fuel Allowance as part of the National Fuel Scheme or on Job Seekers Allowance for over six months and with children under 7 years of age or on
• Family income support

In 2013 Tymon North, Tymonville and St Aongus were on the list of estates for the Energy Program. 

• 111 completed in Tymon North
• 94 Tymonville
• 41 St Aongus

Any houses that were not completed under these programs have been excluded for specific reasons.  There are no plans to revisit these estates in the coming months.
