MOTION NO. 8

MOTION: Councillor M. Devine

That this Council engage with Kilnamanagh Residents Association regarding the use of their Estate as a training course for large articulated vehicles and 3 tonne signs be erected as soon as possible.

REPORT:

The erection of 3 tonne signs is not appropriate as Kilnamanagh is not subject to a vehicle weight restriction.
The residents concerns as to the use of the estate for training of large articulated vehicle drivers is noted and the matter will be referred to the Road Safety Authority who have responsibility for regulation of driver training.
