QUESTION: Councillor M. Genockey

"To ask the Chief Executive if an up-to-date mutual transfer list can be prepared in order to help people to find other Council tenants that would be willing to transfer with them as the current list is very out of date." 

REPLY:

The current Mutual Transfer register was updated in April this year, this list is revised periodically on receipt of requests for inclusion on same. While every effort is made to keep information up to date, this is reliant on the applicant notifying the Council of same. It is noted that those who are actively using the register inform of any changes of circumstances. 

It is planned to carryout full review of the 800 applicants on the register later this year. 

It is already the case that Tenant's interested in a mutual transfer have the option of advertising in their preferred area, as has been the traditional method of sourcing same.
