QUESTION: Councillor W. Lavelle

"To ask the Chief Executive to provide a detailed update on the Council's recent meeting with Esker Celtic FC and on any actions arising?"

REPLY:

A number of actions were agreed to at the meeting with Esker Celtic FC on 3rd June 2015. These are as follows:

1. Review the existing arrangements for cutting pitches to ensure that they receive regular cuts.
2. Examine the issue of drainage problems on the pitch located in the Hermitage Extension/Mt Andrew lands.
3. Survey the condition of pitches and training areas with a view improving the playing surfaces.
4. Examine current allocations and pitch sharing arrangements with other clubs.
5. Examine capacity for the provision of additional pitches in the locality.
