"That this Committee request the Chief Executive to present a report for discussion at the meeting outlining options and costings for the provision of additional car parking spaces on the inner Boot Road and Rockfield Drive. The Committee is aware that no budget provision has been made for such work in 2015 and is not requesting that such work takes place this year. The purpose of the report is to inform members of possible options in advance of the estimates for 2016."

REPORT:

There is evidence of 6 - 10 cars parking on kerbs/green areas on the Inner Boot Road and Rockfield Drive. While it has not been normal practice for additional parking along estate roads to be provided by the Council, 10 - 12 parking spaces could be provided at 2 - 3 locations. The estimated cost is €40,000.
