MOTION: Councillor B. Bonner

"This committee commends the work of Clondalkin Library staff who have been working on compiling a roll of honour for those residents of Clondalkin who died in action in World War 1.

Their names are recorded on a temporary plaque.  Can this be replaced with a permanent bronze plaque which would be a fitting tribute to the memory of the dead."

REPORT:

If the members recommend the motion, the matter will be referred to the Commemorations Committee for considertation as part of the decade of commemorations programme including the centenaries of the Great War, Easter Rising 1916, War of Independence and the Civil War.
