QUESTION: Councillor D. Looney

"To ask the Chief Executive for an update on the provision of accommodation for Firhouse ETNS and Gaelscoil na Giúise, and to make a statement on the matter?"

REPLY:

The DES  has contractors on site and the temporary schools accommodation as permitted under the Part 8 is currently under way. These works are due to be completed by the end of August in time for the beginning of the next school year Sept 2015.

Pre plan consultations are currently underway in relation to the permanent schools proposed on this site. An application is expected imminently.
