MOTION: Councillor D. Looney

"That this Committee be presented with the full range of options considered in the Walkinstown Roundabout Study, and that this Committee refuses to support or endorse any changes at this junction in the absence of a full briefing with all Councillors representing the area in SDCC and Dublin City Council, and in the absence of consultation with local stakeholders."

REPORT:

The Walkinstown Roundabout Study is still the subject of negotiations between South Dublin County Council and the NTA funding authority, although funding has been approved for a consultants design. A briefing document is in the process of being prepared to present to Councillors representing SDCC and Dublin City Council, and Members will be informed as soon as it is ready. No changes to the junction will be made until all stakeholders are consulted on the proposals emanating from the study.
