QUESTION: Councillor P. Foley

To ask the Chief Executive can details be given on the funding for traffic calming signage in 2015 and whether any consideration has been given yet to the funding for 2016? I’m sure all councillors have a list of estates looking for children at play signs and I would be keen to see the appropriate funding put in place to allow for this signage to be installed?

REPLY:

The Works Programme presented to each Area Committee in February outlined the following allocation for each area for the provision of Children at Play signage in 2015:-

Rathfarnham T/T     €3,000

Clondalkin                €1,800

Tallaght                     €3,600

Lucan                         €3,000

At this stage there are requests for the provision of Children at Play Signage which exceed the available allocations.
