QUESTION NO.
QUESTION: Councillor E. Ó Broin
To ask the Chief Executive to detail the total number of people who applied within the deadline for inclusion on the supplementary register for the recent referenda and whether any of these applications were not included in the register and the reason why?
REPLY: There were over 4,000 application forms received to be included on the Supplement to the Register of Electors. Of the nos received there were 2,634 Electors included on the supplement to the Register. The balance is made up those Electors who had already been on the Draft Register therefore were not added, those who sent in forms to the wrong Local Authority, those who sent in wrong forms and those who were not eligible due to their status, ie not Irish Citizens.
