QUESTION: Councillor L. O'Toole

To ask the Chief Executive can he consider installing signage within the county that highlights the location of nearest Defibrillator in public accessible places?

REPLY:

There are currently 29 Defibrillator Sites provided in the following areas :CLondalkin/Lucan  Clondakin Civic Offices, Unit 10, Crag Lane Clondalkin. Grange Castle Business Park, Grange Castle Golf Club, Deansrath Depot, Corkagh Park, Clondalkin Library, Grange Nursery.Lucan Library, Palmerstown Depot,

Tallaght / Rathfarnham,   Jobstown Depot, Tymon Park, Sean Walsh Park, Ballyroan Library, Tallaght Library , Ballymount Depot, X 2 ,Camac Valley, Saggart Park,

County Hall,  Customer Care Unit, Housing Dept, Roads Dept, 1st floor Architects Dept. Housing Dept 2nd Floor and 3rd Floor,   Accounts Payable,

 The Council has contacted some Signage companies for quotations and information regarding cost of supply and installing signage  for Defibrillators. Consideration will then be given as to how to advance this issue.  

It is the responsibility of Shopping Centres and public places to provide any signage pertaining to Fibrillators. All Security companies engaged by shopping centres are aware of the location of Fibrillators.
