QUESTION: Councillor L. Dunne
To ask the Chief Executive for a break down of playing pitches in the county and for this years maintenance schedule i.e. Grass cutting, cutting around goal posts, removal of illegal dumping, litter, etc. Additionally, to ask when the grass has been cut, is it been cut to an acceptable playing standard?

Breakdown of pitches provided by Electoral area
The playing pitches in the county are scheduled to be cut every week during the season for 2015 and the pitches are being cut to standard. While pitches are generally not subject to illegal dumping, as part of the grass cutting process, litter and any waste material lying on the pitch is removed prior to cutting. Clubs allocated the use of the pitch are also responsible for ensuring that the any litter genrated as a result of games is collected and removed.
