"To compliment the Library and Community staff for the excellent range of activities so successfully organised as part of the Beaultana Festival and to say that they have been very much appreciated by residents across the Area?"

Thank you for your compliments Councillor O’Connell.

Bealtaine is the national arts festival celebrating creativity as we age and is celebrated in May. We always aim to cover a cross section of interests when planning events for this festival.

During Bealtaine at Lucan Library this year the Laptops and Lifestyle event was quite well attended, and there was a great turn-out at the health talks – The 5 best things to do for your health.

The Writers’ group was treated to a special workshop - Creativity and the Seven Colours of the Rainbow. - a holistic approach to mind, body and spirit which proved to be relaxing and inspiring.

South Dublin Libraries are part of the National Age Friendly Initiative and aim to support our older citizens in our Age Friendly libraries during every month of the year.
