MEETING OF SOUTH DUBLIN COUNTY COUNCIL
Monday, May 11, 2015
QUESTION NO 3.
QUESTION: Councillor L. Dunne
To ask the Chief Executive, what housing supports if any, can be given to victims of domestic violence that have had to flee their home when they are already tenants of SDCC.
REPLY:
South Dublin County Council works closely with the two Women Refuges in our area, such as Cluan Alainn and Saoirse in attempt to respond to Domestic Violence Victims. We have also made available a property, as a "set-down" option to women who have completed their programme within women refuge services.
The Council endeavours to be sympathetic in all such cases but conscious of the need to consider each case on an individual basis, having consideration of their individual circumstances.
