MOTION: Councillor B. Ferron

That this Committee calls on the Chief Executive to begin a process of re-engagement with all the residents of Avonbeg and Homelawns in order to try and facilitate the locating of a play space in that area.

REPORT:

A meeting was held in the Community Centre in Avonbeg on the 20th April 2015 following a request from the Elected Members to see if some agreement can be reached on locating a play space on the open space. This meeting was attended by local residents, both those in favour and those opposed to the proposal and some Elected Members. The outcome of the meeting was positive, although there was not unanimous agreement and it was agreed to have a final meeting on the 30th April 2015 to reach a conclusion on the matter.
