QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"To ask the Chief Executive, following representations from Residents could he advise what action if any, has been taken to repair the wall at number 2 Maplewood Park, facing onto Maplewood Road as it's condition appears to be a public safety issue?"

REPLY:

The Council operates within the scope of the Local Government (Sanitary Services) Act 1964 in relation to dangerous places and structures which, in the opinion of the Council is, or is likely to be, dangerous to any person or property. 

An inspection of the location (2B) has been undertaken in very recent times and a notice to the owner requiring works is being issued.
