QUESTION: Councillor M. Duff

"To ask the Chief Executive if he could please advise this Committee if there are any plans to advertise this year for interested parties to operate a refreshments outlet at Tymon Park for the summer season?"

REPLY:

The Council advertise annually for submissions of bids for permission to sell ice-cream/confectionary and/or hot food/beverages on specific designated areas in public parks in the South Dublin County Council administrative area.

Advertisements are placed in the Tallaght Echo and the Gazette every year in early May inviting bids for the permits.

It is expected that the advertisement will be drawn up and placed in the Tallaght Echo and the Gazette in early May 2015 inviting bids for the coming year.

It is further expected that a review of francise/allocation of permits for the provision of refreshments in Council facilities will be initiated in the coming months.
