QUESTION NO.19
QUESTION: Councillor J. Graham
To ask the Chief Executive to provide a report on the window replacement programme in the Clondalkin LEA;
Including total replacements to date by year
Total expected replacements for this calendar year and what year were all of these potential replacements inspected?
REPLY:
The window replacement programme commenced in 2010. At that time each house where requests had been received to replace the windows were inspected and these were then graded in order of priority 1 – 5 with 5 being those windows most in need of replacement.
There are currently 803 houses on the replacement programme across the county. Of these 723 are graded 5. The houses graded 5 will be selected on a priority basis and length of time on list. The average waiting time for replacement is 2-3 years.
We are currently replacing windows inspected in late 2011/early 2012.
The number of window replacements completed in the Clondalkin Electoral Area is as follows:-
Year Number
2010 81
2011 70
2012 49
2013 64
2014 48
It is envisaged that 50 windows will be replaced in 2015.
