QUESTION NO. 5

QUESTION: Councillor D. O'Donovan

"To ask the Chief Executive how do Residents Associations within the RTT Area apply for anti-graffiti paint?"

REPLY:

South Dublin County Council do not supply anti graffiti paint. However, groups can apply to the Social Credit Scheme, www.socialcredits.ie and request exterior wall paint or creeper plants as a reward.

Instances of graffiti can also be referred to our Public Realm unit where protocols are in place for dealing with complaints.

It is worthy also to note that in accordance with the Litter Pollution Act, 1997, the owner of the private property is responsible for the removal of graffiti on that property.
